When God Interrupts Your Plans

Let’s talk about divine interruptions. You know, those moments when God completely derails your carefully planned life? I’ve got a few stories about that, and I bet you do too.

I had it all figured out – successful business ventures, a clear path ahead. Then God threw a holy wrench in my plans. The market crashed, HeadsUp Inc. crumbled, and suddenly I found myself wondering, “God, what are You doing?”

But here’s the beautiful thing about divine interruptions: they’re usually invitations to something better. They’re God’s way of saying, “I’ve got a different plan, and trust me, it’s better than anything you could imagine.”

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.” – Proverbs 19:21

When God interrupted my business plans, He was actually setting the stage for Standing Stone Ministry. I couldn’t see it then, but every “failure” was preparing me for something greater. Each setback was actually a setup for God’s purposes.

Handling divine interruptions takes a special kind of grace. When life throws you a curveball, pause before you react. Look for God’s fingerprints in the chaos. Stay open to new directions. Write down what’s happening – you’ll want to remember this story later. And don’t keep it to yourself – share your journey with others who might need encouragement.

Think about what interruptions you’re facing right now. How might God be using these to redirect you? What are you learning in the waiting? Where have you seen God’s faithfulness in past interruptions?

I’d love to hear your story. Share a time when God interrupted your plans, and what you learned from it. Let’s encourage each other with our stories of God’s faithful redirections.
