Dear Friends,
Today is a big day for Debbie, hopefully.
After everything she has been through, the plan is to transfer her today from Mission Hospital to the rehabilitation facility where the next stage of her recovery can begin.
I have been blown away by the progress she has made over the last few days. There are still concerns, especially with her knee, but she is working hard and doing more with her exercises. Her determination has been wonderful to watch.
Several people have asked me what is motivating Debbie to get well. I think the answer is pretty simple. She wants her life back. She wants to get home. She wants to be with the people she loves. And she is willing to work for it.
Our biggest prayer today is that the transfer happens safely and that Debbie is able to tolerate it without the severe pain and the significant drop in blood pressure she has experienced when being moved.
Please pray that her pain can be controlled, that her blood pressure remains stable, and that she arrives safely and comfortably at the rehabilitation facility.
Thank you for continuing to pray for Debbie and for all of us. We feel your love and support.
Jim
